So as you can see I've been missing in action, don't fret I haven't given up on our style adventure. School has been pretty time consuming and I've been so uninspired lately. No worries though, the blog posts will make a return shortly.

I've been M.I.A lately, just enjoying the culture, eating, and taking a bunch of photos. So let's catch up! Since my last post we've gone to Machu Picchu, back to Cusco, Lima for two days, and decided to visit the jungle so we flew here to Pucallpa. We've been in Pucallpa now for about 10 days, and its beautiful from the weather, tranquility, and the sweet pool at our hotel it's been great.

ACADEMICS
- Its okay to be unsure of what you want to do as a newly admitted freshman ( or anytime in your college career).
- You will change your major or at least reconsider, and that is perfectly okay.
- You may absolutely HATE the school you're accepted into. My word of advice TRANSFER! Don't waste time somewhere you aren't happy at.
- Focus on quality of learning rather than just passing the class.
- Your grades are a reflection of your work ethic.
- BUT some professors are impossible so speak up & seek help. If you feel you're not getting the marks you deserve.
- Set personal academic goals, write them down and work toward them.
- You're now the small fish in a big pond so find your strengths and master them.
FASHION
- Heels, you thought you'd wear them everyday, think again! While heels may make you feel like the grown and sexy college sophisticate you are sport them only on shorter class days.
- Wear what you feel the most comfortable in, physically and emotionally, you'll radiate a cool relaxed vibe that will attract the people meant for you.
- Keep the line thick between the clothes you brought for class and those for partying.
- Dress as if you're a professional already. Some professor will take notice & that may be a well needed connection in the future.
- You will wear your pjs to class at least once, so ones that transitional well are a must.
BOYS/GIRLS/SEX&RELATIONSHIPS
- If you are in a relationship while in college don't let that hold you back from being social and meeting new people.
- If you're looking to start a relationship while in college join a club or group that you're interested in, find someone who shares your interests.
- College students can be very superficial, so be prepared to build a thick skin, don't take dating too seriously, HAVE FUN.
- Some of your peers may be into drugs and random hook ups. If thats not your cup of tea, as cliche as it sounds, don't fall into peer pressure, its dangerous and you'll most likely regret it.
- BE SAFE SEXUALLY.
- If you do feel uncomfortable about anything sexually related with a roommate or floor mate speak with your RA or counselor.
MOST IMPORTANTLY
NEVER LET YOUR OWN OR ANYONE ELSE'S DOUBT HOLD YOU BACK. YOU'RE ONLY AS STRONG, AS SMART, AND AS DRIVEN AS YOU ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE.
So we have been in Lima for an entire week. WOW! The time is flying! On our first day/night here everything was a complete culture shock for me but I loved every moment of it. We are now in transit to Cusco so this mini update is a bit rushed and ill planned. Thus far I am in love with Peru and of course the Pisco!
Here a few photos:
Lovelies, every now and again we need that pick me up to kick start the rest of our week, here's what I've been using in my spare 30 minutes.
My skin has been in a bit of a funk lately. Some days its too oily with small bumps (especially on my forehead) and others a bit flaky. My skin is pretty oily, so typically I use clay masks to dry up the oil and minimize my super enlarged pores. Yet, this month my usual mask didn't seem to be doing its job so I wanted to try something new.
A friend recommended I try
Bioxidea's Miracle 48 Excellence Diamond Face & Body Mask . I fell in love instantly!
The treatment claims to revitalize skin leaving you visibly younger looking for 48 hours. While, I don't think the results are that miraculous I will say my skin was instantly refreshed, it felt soft and supple. These results also have lasted me beyond the 48 hours mentioned. The treatment comes in a pack of three so I'm sure with the use of all of them the results will be dramatic.
While the package suggests leaving the treatment on for 15-30 minutes I kept it on the full 30 minutes for the complete "spa" experience. What I love most about this treatment is that it's organic and biodegradable, so once you've finished the treatment you throw it in a bath and continue using it on your body! Though I've only used one I definitely recommend this product!
We are on our way to Lima, Peru. We left from LaGuardia at 6:30 am and due to procrastination sleep didn't happen last night at all! We arrived in Fort Lauderdale, FL at around 8:50 am and our connecting flight is at 5:00 pm! Needless to say exhaustion has well set in!
Here's what I wore during the flights.

About a month ago I attended my cousin's wedding and I wanted to bring you guys along! In my opinion, weddings are the perfect place to display the more formal side of your style personality. You can devote more thought to "playing dress up" than you would on a regular basis. Aside from clothing though, weddings are more importantly about love and family. Its all about the experience of love and allowing others to share that with you on your wedding day. I had a blast and snapped a few pics too!
My cousin's wedding was pretty ecletic so I tried to incorporate a few of those pieces in photos.
The beautiful bride & groom.
Here they are dancing for the first time as Mr. & Mrs. Loeffler.
They opted for cupcakes instead of a traditional cake, these were AMAZING!
My Grandpa (who is 90 y.o) and my new cousin-in-law's Grandmother dancing!
What I wore:
Since it was a spring wedding I wanted to keep my attire light, both in color and fabric, so I went for this cream (NOT white) chiffon dress. Since this day is meant to be all about the bride, I wanted to keep my face very neutral, aiming to cover up blemishes, and highlight the high points of my face. Though not pictured, I paired this dress with some flesh toned perforated stiletto booties.

A couple weeks ago I went to visit my friend at his greenhouse in Hartsdale. I was so inspired by the colors and textures of the plants. I thought I'd keep this post short & sweet ("wordless"), and let the pictures do the talking.

With summer right around the corner the barbecue & pool invites will be rolling in. That means creating weather and event appropriate looks. So for my gals that have a hard time doing that quickly, like myself, no need to fret I have a few tips!
MAKE-UP
In accordance to the warmer weather keeping your make-up minimal and water-proof is key. My advice is finding a medium-to-full coverage concealer,
MAC's Pro Longwear or
NYX Hi Def are amazing! Cover up your blemishes then opt for a bronzer similar or slightly darker than your skin tone, such as one by
NARS or
Guerlain. Finish up with your favorite water-proof mascara!
SKIN CARE
Sunscreen sunscreen sunscreen! No matter your hue, protect your precious skin from the harmful UV rays with SPF.
THE LOOK
By keeping your outfit simple you'll look effortlessly chic. No one will know it only took you 3 minutes to get ready! Throw on a one piece, whether it be a maxi, romper, or overalls. Add light accessories and tie layering pieces around your waist so they're on hand for the chilly nights.
For this outfit I went barefoot since I was home, but chuck on some Converse or Birkenstocks for a care-free "girl-next-door" look.
